Investment options for overseas Pakistanis

What shall I do when I return back to Pakistan for good? That is the question most of the expatriate Pakistanis frequently ask themselves. That is natural because sooner or later most of them have to return back.

In fact their earnings can be utilized for industrial development in the country and a lot of new jobs can be created to provide employment opportunities to Pakistani youth but our inefficient and corrupt governments have never been able to devise any clear policy to utilize and increase inflow of foreign exchange, instead, the always keep begging IMF and World Bank to get loans to pay back debts which is in fact a tool used to blackmail poor nations.

At present major part of our earnings goes in to real-estate which is non-productive and leads to increase in the land prices and making the life of ordinary Pakistani miserable.

Any way I would like to invite all visiting Pakistani brothers and sisters to participate in the discussion and share their ideas on this very important topic.

God bless you all

  1. I agree with the above. My husband has been trying to establish a business in Karachi for the last three years but failed every time due to a number of reasons predominantly the horrified and suffocating environment full of fear of loss be it life, respect or belongings. The Bhatta system has made this city once called ‘The Heart of Pakistan’, a tumor which has now become sore and needs a genuine treatment by some genuine specialists. The other major reason is the international economic and financial crisis that is facing the country. The jobs are scarce and even there are jobs there is scanty money offered insufficient for maintaining a respectable livelihood. No investments are safe. Both recession and inflation are high which has sucked people of their vigor and crave for even necessities let alone luxuries. Corruption is brisk as well as terrorism which further leaves no room for any foreign return or foreign investment. I wonder why our leaders can’t see all this and put their sincere efforts to resolve. I pray Allah bless us all.

  5. How good is the new bahrai town sector e project.

  6. Bahria Town Sector E will be a good place to live after 10 years but the reputation of Bahria Town is not good at all. Total price itself is very high but in future a lot of other charges will also be imposed. The only thing good with Bahria Town is development standard. The best option is to buy ON-GROUND plot, no matter how small it is.
