Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif presided over a meeting of Lahore Ring Road Council, here on Friday, which approved Lahore Ring Road Southern Loop Phase-III.
Addressing the meeting, Shahbaz Sharif said that work should immediately be started on Southern Loop Phase-I and Phase-II and be completed within stipulated period. He said that six interchanges would be constructed on 22.4 kilometer long southern loop while 10 weigh stations would also be set up on entry points. He said that special attention should be paid to horticulture and landscaping on southern loop of Ring Road besides tree plantation should also be carried out on both sides of the road.
He directed that immediate steps should be taken for starting work on Southern Loop Phase-III. He also directed to improve core capacity of Lahore Ring Road Authority. Commissioner Lahore Division gave a briefing on various affairs of Lahore Ring Road Council. Chairman Chief Minister’s Task Force on Information & Culture Muhammad Malik, Chairman Planning & Development, Secretary Communication & Works, Secretary Finance, DG PHA and other members of Lahore Ring Road Council attended the meeting.
