Development work in Sector G-14 Islamabad has restarted as the concerned officers of the city administration and police have started regular monitoring in the area.
The development work was stopped following the threats from the affectees in the area.
Deputy Director (Technical) Federal Government Employees Housing Foundation (FGEHF) Rana Munir Ahmed informed that construction of an overhead water tanker of capacity 70,000 gallon in Sector G-14/3 has been started.
Development work in street No 86, 87 and 88 of Sector G-14/2 and street 92, 102 and 107 of Sector G-14/3 is also underway, he said, adding that teams of Public Works Department have also been formed to conduct the survey of houses in Sector G-14/1.
He said the DG of the housing foundation Mian Talat Rasheed held successful talks with the affectees and the survey of the houses will be started during the next week.
Meanwhile, allottees showed satisfaction on the ongoing development work and demanded of the concerned authorities to conduct the survey as soon as possible.
They also demanded to get the possession of all the land of the sector by paying compensation to the affectees, so that uplift work could be started in the whole sector.
