Encroachments threaten overseas Pakistanis’ flats

ISLAMABAD: Illegal encroachments in flats of overseas Pakistanis in Sector I-8 have become life-threatening to the residents.
According to details the illegal encroachments in flats could lead to major disaster any time while the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has become a silent spectator on this situation.
Speaking to media, the residents of the flats said that most of the owners have constructed 10 to 15 feet of encroachments outside their flats due to which pillars and beams are holding extra burden, which is very dangerous.
The owners construct these encroachments mostly in evenings of Saturday and Sunday to avoid any legal action, the residents added.
They have appealed to Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan to direct the CDA to eliminate these encroachments immediately to make the lives of residents secure. online
